It confuse me that people think Tamahome was reincarnated at the END of the Fushigi Yuugi original series, Miaka's brother said he is a transferee with all his memories from his past life came back and now he met miaka again. So people think he reincarnated, But in Ova 1, it is revealed that he was the real Tamahome that came from the book itself and not a real reincarnated human. I'm thinking since Miaka and Tamahome still has their rings, it serves as connection and Tamahome was granted to travel to Miaka's world. Just like how Julie used Nakago's earrings to travel back in the book, I'm thinking all that "reincarnated, past memories coming back from past lives" narrative from his brother was just him making it up to ease Miaka and assures her that Tamahome will not go back again in the book and will stay with her. but in Conclusion, Tamahome wasn't reincarnated but just travelled to Miaka's world because of their ring connection. But events happened with Tenkou (new evil) character in the story appeared to harm again Yui, the world in the book, and possible the real world too, so Miaka and Tamahome was transported back again inside the book, but on the end of the ova with the book being sealed and tenkou being defeated, and when they concluded that they couldn't really exist together as lovers, they decided to part ways forever, and the ring was already gone and Tamahome can't go to miaka's world anymore, THAT's when he decided to use the jewels to be reincarnated for the "FIRST TIME" as TAKA, so this is his real FIRST reincarnation, and not the first one Miaka's brother is making up (in my own theory). So to be reincarnated as Taka, Tamahome decided to do it even with the risk of no memories at all. But taka gained his memories along the way as the story progresses in next OVAs so I suppose it's still a happy ending. In conclusion, TAKA is still the TAMAHOME we knew but now as Real HUMAN and can live with MIAKA forever.

Guys, I was scrolling through Bilibili and found that someone uploaded the entire FY Stage play there!
Apparently, there are a lot of changes in contrast to the original manga/anime. An example would be that Tasuki gets discovered by a drunk Tamahome instead of Miaka and gang!

Okay, so I don't remember much about the details in the plot of Fushigi Yuugi since I haven't watched it since 2020... but I've been wondering if there will ever be a sequel made by the original mangaka? I mean I know that several one shots, side stories were released after the end of the original manga, and don't get me started on the OVAs (never understood any of them except for the third tbh). Not to mention that the author might have moved on with her life now.
Do you think that there should be a sequel? Like a new generation or something like what Inyuusha did?

It's been a while since I have posted. So yesterday, I managed to get the new issue of the flowers magazine. Inside this issue is the new oneshot of the original FY series in a new art style.
Apparently, it was meant to be a filler between the time where Miaka summons Suzaku and the time Miaka and Tamahome meet again.
In the issue, the results of the Twitter popularity poll for character and scene were also there. The winner? Nuriko, by a landslide. He won 1st place for character poll with 799 votes (Tasuki has 335 votes and in 2nd place) and the 1st and 2nd most popular scenes were focused on him (his death scene and his motivational speech to Tamahome and Miaka).

A 6-page QnA with Yuu Watase was also in the issue. Some questions include what kind of job Miaka would get (Watase said YT food reviewer lol) and other kinds of questions (that were submitted on Twitter before the 30th anniversary event I think).
Also, for Nuriko's identity this is what a description on one of the pages of the issue say when Google translated. Could be wrong or mistranlated, but this is what I got.
One more exciting news! Byakko Senki will be continuing by fall of 2023. The story for Suzuno isn't over yet!

This manual will have its own page and will include everything editors need to know about creating new pages/infoboxes/etc. This way, there will be a consistent style across the entire wiki and anyone can contribute regardless of basic coding knowledge!

In the end of the series (episode 52) was that real Tamahome or was it already Taka? Keisuke said to Miaka that they have a new transferee classmate with memories of having a past life right? So if that’s the case that should be Taka right? Because Taka is reincarnation of Tamahome. But in Ova 1 Miaka is living with the real Tamahome. And Tamahome being reincarnated as Taka was shown only at the last episode of the Ova 1. So im kinda confused.
