Ashitare (尾宿[1]) is one of the Seiryuu Celestial Warriors. He is half-man half-wolf. The constellation he was born under is "Tail."
Personality and Plot[]
Despite his animalistic appearance, he has a concept of what is going on around him. His master, Nakago, has conditioned him to understand that failure will mean torture or worse. Fear, retribution, and rage drive most of his actions, as he was mocked and feared all of his life because of his physical features.
Born in a penal colony in Northern Hokkan, Ashitare grew up as the prisoner of a freak show until he managed to escape. After a fleeting encounter with Nuriko in Yukigase, he is recaptured by his freak show master. Nakago who recognized him as one of the Seiryuu Seven and ended up freeing him.
Indebted to him, Ashitare loyally and fearfully follows Nakago's every command.
None of the other Seiryuu Warriors seem to consider Ashitare anything more than a beast, except for Soi, who shows him a modicum of sympathy and questions Nakago on the fact that he was sent into battle as a sacrifice.
After he kills Nuriko on Mt. Kokureishin, his human form dies from his injuries, but his powers allow him to fully transform into a wolf and he returns to Nakago.
Feeling that he has outlived his service, Nakago kills him and leaves his body in Hokkan.
Appearance[]

In his human form, Ashitare has a muscular build with sharp claws, wild light blue hair, and narrow red eyes. In his animal form, he is a grey wolf with one glowing red eye.
Abilities[]
As a celestial warrior Ashitare possesses abnormal powers. Being the embodiment of a wolf, he has an enhanced sense of smell, above average hearing, and sharp fangs and claws. Because he is essentially a wolf in human skin when Ashitare is killed, he is revived as a full wolf, but after that, he does not have the ability to revive himself.
