Hakukou (hakukō) is a farming village in Konan about an hour's ride outside of Eiyou. It borders the eastern province and is where Tamahome grew up with his family.

- Hakukou appears as "Shirae Village" (shiraemura, 白江村) in the video game Suzaku Ibun and Tamahome's light novel. This is in reference to the Battle of Baekgang, which is known as the "Battle of Hakusukinoe" in Japanese and the "Battle of Baijiangkou" in Chinese. "Hakukō" is derived from both versions.
