(ふしぎ遊戯 白虎異聞; Fushigi Yugi: Curious Tales of the Byakko)
This prequel to Fushigi Yuugi: Byakko Senki was published in the magazine Monthly Flowers on February 28. The story revolves around a foreign spellcaster named Nirusha, who turns out to be the much younger and kinder Miboshi of the Seiryuu Warriors. The narrative follows him and his young friend Reipin, whom he renames Neiran, as he attempts to help against her tragic destiny.
The Prologue Of Korin[]
In this story, the members of the Chou family are viewed from an unlikely perspective. Covering both before and after Korin’s death, this story delves into the family’s dynamic and the start of Nuriko’s journey to accept his role as a warrior.
The Reason I Started Hating Women[]
Sailing on Hotohori’s imperial ship to Hokkan, a seasick Tasuki reveals his past to Miaka. In an episodic structure, he tells the story of each of his five sisters and the bullying he suffered at their hands, answering the age-old question: “Why does Tasuki hate women?”
