Members of the Hin Tribe were despised by the citizens of Kutou and were often discriminated against because of their identifying trait of blond hair and blue eyes. Not much is known about the origin or history of the tribe except that they were foreigners with European heritage.

Fourteen years before the start of the original series, the Hin Tribe was confined to the outskirts of Kutou. Their settlement bordered Lake Seiran, a spiritually significant site for the Hin people. Once a year, they would gather at the edge of the lake to call upon their god, Tenkou, for guidance. Only those who were eleven years-old and older were allowed to attend. The Hin people believed Tenkou was a protective spirit who sympathized with their hardships.

In the face of constant abuse by Kutou, the Hin people were quick to accept spiritual aid in opposition to the Four Beast Gods despite the irony of one of their own being born a Celestial Warrior of Seiryuu.
