The Wakaosa Family is a family introduced in Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden. It is a historic line of guards who have protected and served the royal family of Hokkan for generations, particularly the Rowun Family. Members are known to be skilled warriors, swordsmen, and horseback riders.
They are staunchly dedicated to preserving the lives of the royals, even during periods of political in-fighting. When Emperor Temudan ordered the death of his only son, Rimudo, the Wakoasa family was called upon by Empress Ayula to protect him.
